It's my passion for the game and my commitment to quality workmanship and customer service that has defined my 35-year career.

It all began one day when I was just a young child, watching a professional at my golf club install a new grip onto a club.

I studied him, mesmerized, and was instantly hooked. This is something I needed to try for myself.

And in 1983, my dream came true when I established Peteresen’s Golf, a golf club repair shop. Throughout those early years I refinished wood heads, tightened loose sole plates and inserts, and reshafted and changed lofts and lies alike...

Career Highlights

My First Major Expansion

In the mid-nineties, I was approached by one of the largest golf club manufacturers in the country, and was asked to assemble 100 putters.

But little did I know, it was not just an order—it was a test. I apparently passed, as the client told me they were now sending the components needed to build 3850 clubs to be fitted, assembled, and packaged— within a week!

By the end of the contract, I had built and packaged almost 750 000 clubs for them.

Unfortunately, that work was eventually shipped overseas, and it was time for Petersen’s to evolve again. But it was definitely a great run while it lasted!
